As you might know by now, I'm a huge fan of art and supporting indie artists as much as I support indie authors. When an indie is both, that's even better. Below are some pieces of art, some serious, some tongue in cheek, all of which put a huge smile on my face. I hope you enjoy them all as much as I have.
This delightful little gem is the drawing that started it all. According to the enigmatic author/artist/designer and elfrotica inventor, CB Archer, this picture captures the moment in Kind of Like Life when Renee Ward discovers that magic exists. This was but the first of many fun and humorous bits of fan art that CB drew based on nothing more than book blurbs and titles. See all of his fan art drawings here:
These next two pictures are also fan art from Kind of Like Life, but actual, honest-to-goodness fan art from someone who actually read the book. Yes, I about had a heart attack, I was so happy. ;)
Author and artist Melissa Jensen did both a digital and traditional drawing of the phoenixes that connect Renee and Blake in the book. I was completely floored when I got these in my inbox. Check out more of Melissa's work at her website: https://majmedia.wordpress.com/
This little gem comes from fellow SIA moderator, author, and fantastic portrait artist, BB Wynter. Why am I dressed as a robot? Well, as you might have guessed if you've read this blog, I'm a little obsessed with robots, and more than a little obsessed with doing everything I can to bring indie authors the attention they deserve. Apparently one day, this evolved into visions of me, dressed as a robot, being forcibly removed from the premise of a Barnes & Noble for throwing indie books at patrons. As fun as that might be, alas, I've never had the guts to try this in real life. ;)

I do hope to grow this page as often as I can, so be on the lookout for announcements of added art.
